Motocross track of Guijuelo is a modification of the previous supercross track to approach it to less experienced riders and is commonly as "Pata Negra" since Pata Negra is a premium variety of the traditional ham of this town located in the province of Salamanca (Castilla y León community).
This MX track is located about 2hours 30 minutes from Madrid was used by the local enduro rider Lorenzo
Santolino (junior world champion in 2010) can be easily accessed since it is
next to the other facilities Sports (swimming pools and soccer field). Initially Gujuelo SX track had double jumps that were lowered so that the fans with less level could enjoy motocross.
Therefore,
the layout currently has plateaus and different types of jumps suitable
for beginners who need to gain experience on the bike. However, the track also features dubbies, camels, etc.
The terrain is sandy (coarse sand) mixed with schistose soil, making the
irrigation system indispensable for this area in Spain in which most sessions
are done in the afternoon and at night time thanks to the lighting system.
This track when open is usually properly watered and reviewed.
